It’s been a while coming but at last the initiative is off the ground and we are working towards providing children the ability to use a virtual classroom environment to allow them to develop & the practice their English language skills.
Moodle Learning Centre (MLC) is an open source learning tool which enables teachers to plan lesson content for students to work through and submit their work for the teachers to monitor and encourage progress.
It’s a simple process, the teacher writes a lesson, the student logs in & when complete (the student can retake, retake) the student submits their work to the teacher.
Currently there are just a few lessons on the system but this will gradually dvelop in the coming weeks.
Please accpet my apologies for the delay in development of this site. A busy schedule ensuring registration for The Stratton ABC Foundation has meant that I was unable to find the necessary time.
Thankfully now that registration is complete I am able to resume development of this project.
On Wednesday 21st I went for a long overdue meeting with Khruu Khem of Huay Sai School. We discussed plans for renewed partnership and mutual assistance. I will be producing regular new learning material via the website and also making occassional visits to the school to assist with reading and talking skills.
In return Khruu Khem has agreed to be a regular visitor to the home, by way of offering some independant monitoring of our work.
She will come to visit the Childrens Home and be able to speak freely with the children on all aspects of their life here at Stratton House.
